Kingpin's $13M Entertainment Venue Set to Transform Collins St Night-Life

17th December, Melbourne, Australia:聽Kingpin is set to unveil its next evolution in entertainment with the launch of a bold new 3,500sqm venue in Collins Arcade, opening early 2026 - a $13 million destination expected to attract over one million visitors annually.

Reflecting the brand鈥檚 new era of premium entertainment, the venue introduces first-to-Australia attractions, elevated bar & grill dining, and a distinctly Melbourne edge, launching in January.

To celebrate the opening, award-winning Australian street artist Matt Adnate has been commissioned to create a large-scale portrait that pays tribute to Dame Edna Everage, the beloved alter ego of legendary comedian Barry Humphries, whose sharp wit and suburban satire helped put Melbourne on the world stage. Adnate鈥檚 mural captures the warmth and wit that make Melbourne unique.

A Redefined World of Play

Beyond its signature bowling lanes, the new Kingpin introduces a lineup of exclusive, next-level attractions, including an immersive batting cage featuring cricket and tennis, Supercharged Shuffle - an electrifying twist on classic shuffleboard - and indoor lawn bowls as a modern nod to Australian tradition.

These new additions join Kingpin鈥檚 fan-favourite line-up - bowling, darts, table tennis, karaoke and over 90 arcade games - creating endless ways to unwind and connect. Whether it鈥檚 a post-work release, a night out with friends, or a casual date, Kingpin offers experiences designed to surprise, delight, and bring people together.

Kingpin Melbourne on Collins Street marks the next phase of the brand鈥檚 transformation under its new proposition, 鈥淓scape Ordinary鈥 - a philosophy that inspires people to break free from routine and connect in real life, away from everyday pressures.

This transformation extends beyond the attractions with a new signature menu helmed by Executive Chef, Adam Moore. The completely reimagined menu draws inspiration from Mediterranean flavours and contemporary Australian style, showcasing premium ingredients prepared with the live-fire charcoal grills and wood-fired pizza oven in the bustling open kitchen - from artisan pizzas, including the impressive 陆-metre Communal Crust, to vibrant share plates and elevated mains. The menu is further enriched by a living herb wall created in partnership with Greenspace, supplying micro-herbs sustainably grown onsite using 60% less water and harvested fresh for every dish. With its food and beverage offering front and centre as you enter via the stairs, the space is designed for culinary theatre.

True to its local-first philosophy, Kingpin has collaborated with emerging Melbourne artists to capture the city鈥檚 layered character, blending dreamlike visuals with modern takes on urban royalty. Working with long-term partners Ignite Architects, the team crafted an industrial-luxe interior infused with street art and sporting nostalgia - a mix that feels distinctly Melbourne.

鈥淎s one of our most ambitious venues yet, Melbourne will set a new benchmark for entertainment in the heart of the city鈥, says Belinda Falzon, Kingpin Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief People Officer. 鈥淎t a time when people are craving genuine, in-person experiences more than ever, the new Kingpin Melbourne will redefine how we gather, dine, and play. For almost three decades, Kingpin at Melbourne鈥檚 Crown Casino has been a beloved entertainment destination, traditionally known by locals as a bowling and games arcade. The newly reimagined Kingpin on Melbourne's Collins Street redefines Kingpin as a bar & grill with sports activities and immersive entertainment, offering guests an elevated competitive socialising experience like no other.鈥

The venue will officially open its doors from January 2026, in the newly renovated Collins Arcade (Address: Lower Ground, 260 Collins Street Melbourne VIC 3000).
